Since 1995, we have built our own brand of 6 through 18 years old sports for education academies & programs in the USA, France, Senegal, Mali, and Burkina Faso.
We have used our data, experience and ecosystem to build a label of sustainability that can be used and implemented in other social organizations struggling to reach their educational goals. We used that label to deploy our 5-year strategy to scale our impact. Only this time, our efforts will be focused on women inclusion and social entrepreneurship.
According to UNESCO, some 43 million school-aged children are still outside the formal education system in sub-Saharan Africa and quality education still remains a major challenge.
The report of the UN Inter-Agency Task Force “Sport for Development and Peace: Towards Achieving the Millennium Development Goals”2 was published in 2003. The report found that well-designed sport-based initiatives are practical and cost-effective tools to achieve development and peace objectives and that sport is a powerful vehicle that should be increasingly considered by the UN as complementary to existing activities.
