Building on its 95% alumni reinvestment success rate of its sports for social leadership programs, Giving Back launches with Grow Academy an all 18-25 years old female social entrepreneurship program where mentees become problem solvers, social businesswomen, alumni mentors, academic content creators and investors.

Every semester, 100 west African young women applicants will receive a full grow academy scholarship to create social scalable solutions, enterprises & online curriculums.

The innovative learning problem solving methods allow to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Case studies, coding & programming, business modeling, inspirational speakers and open online videos, problem solving sessions, sports activities, peer-to-peer learning and role-play enable participants to simulate real life situations and create social solutions & initiatives.

Implemented in Senegal universities, there is no traditional teachers at the Grow Academy, but only mentors, inspirational speakers and an effective peer-to-peer community.

The first order of business was to integrate a Social Fund within the organization that will help reorganize its dynamic and innovative ecosystem. Its goal is to contribute to poverty ending fight, with a set 2030 the Millennium Development Goals. In order to increase the impact of such measures, the focus will be on a limited number of priorities:

• Sustainable Livelihood

• Social Inclusion

• Child Health

• Education Access

• Water Sanitation

• Social Innovation

• Advocacy for Peace and Safety

The priority areas and criteria for executing and/or funding actions are set out every five years in our strategic work plan.
